patientprimary is our patient support service, putting patients at the centre of clinical trials. Through working directly with patients, nurses, doctors and clinicians, we are able to provide the personal touch often lacking from the clinical process, thereby boosting recruitment and retention rates and helping you to keep costs down and get your product on the market faster.

- Homecare built around patients' needs
One in two clinical trials experience patient drop-outs due to issues with travel. As part of patientprimary, we offer bespoke travel options, taking patients from their home to the study location and back again, minimalizing stress.
Every contingency is covered, including specialist transport and home nursing provision, advance planning and appointment confirmation, and out-of-pocket reimbursement through the expensefirst app.
Privacy is assured with an encoded billing and reporting procedure and you are kept informed of all details throughout.
We work with specially qualified research nurses, who can administer treatments in patients’ homes, reducing the need for patient travel. We often work with clients to produce hybrid solutions, which benefit patients and reduce the burden on sites.
Site accessibility investigations can be invaluable for certain types of clinical trials, in addition to clinical feasibility. Our trained team members will visit hospitals and produce personalised reports on patient journey times, accessibility, facilities, local accommodation and meals provision.
Specialised forms and processes
In a number of countries, specialised forms may be needed for various patient support projects – for example additional ICF forms due to data sharing, or to meet country-specific legal/ethical requirements. We will work alongside our clients to identify these needs and help to produce compliant processes and procedures.
Our patientprimary app gives patients control over their clinical trial experience, allowing them to book accommodation and travel options to suit their specific needs at the touch of a button. This personalised approach uses streamlined mobile technology to cut out the worry around clinical trial logistics, helping patients feel supported throughout the clinical trial process.
Once patients consent to take part in a clinical trial, they will be sent an email containing a link to download the patientprimary app for iOS or Android, as well as secure login details.
This will give patients access to information about the trial that they have joined, keeping all logistical information in one place and ensuring that appointments are met on time.
The personal touch
Patients will be able to book travel and accommodation for each appointment at the touch of a button. They can submit their travel requests to our central system where it will be processed and confirmed.
A comprehensive travel companion
Once the patientprimary team has confirmed the travel booking, the relevant information will appear on the app, accessible at any time, anywhere around the world.
Patients are able to access e-tickets and accommodation booking information directly from the app, along with any transfer details and other necessary information.
